The Biotrue ONEday contacts are made of a bio-inspired material called HyperGel. The contacts imitate the anti-dehydrating effect of natural tears and also have the same water content as the eyes. They have a higher oxygen permeability than traditional hydrogel contact lenses. The contact lenses retain its moisture for up to 16 hours.
Inspired by biology of your eyes
These contact lenses are inspired by the biology of the eyes. This resulted in the use of HyperGel material, which is capable of maintaining moisture up to 16 hours. The material also matches the water content of 78% that the natural eyes have. By imitating the way the natural lipid layer and tear film work, these contact lenses can prevent dehydration.
