The center of the lens has the highest plus power, whereas the perimeter has greater minus power. When immersed in a sterile saline solution, polymacon, a 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate lens material, is 38.6% water by weight.
SofLens Multi-Focal contact lenses are available for frequent/planned replacement or disposable use.
